Beverley Pastures

The common pastures that lie east and west of Beverley have a long and interesting history. Westwood, Hurn, Figham, and Swine Moor, they came into the possession of the town in the early Middle Ages and are among the greatest of all urban commons in England. The survival of the pastures is remarkable. This book provides a short illustrated history of these beloved common lands. Published by Beverley Civic Society in 2013.
